A Cartier watch in stainless steel is already something special, but one like this in 18-carat yellow gold is something very special indeed... and anyone who sees it is bound to recognise that instantly. And of course, because of all that gold, this watch's weight will make a very satisfying first impression when you fist pick it up.
As someone who has handled, inspected, studied, photographed and written about thousands of prestigious Swiss watches over the years, something in particular that I like about this watch may be worth mentioning, and that's the combination of all that yellow gold with the silver (and classic Cartier, Roman-numeral) dial. For example, many yellow-gold Rolex watches have matching 'champagne' (gold-coloured) dials, whereas far fewer have silver dials. And yet a silver dial in a yellow gold watch like this Cartier (i) looks really, really nice, and (ii) is somewhat more unusual.
So specifically, this watch is a Cartier ROADSTER with model reference number 2524. It comes with its box and books/papers, was new in 2012 and is in very good to excellent condition.
The movement inside this model is an automatic mechanical one, which provides hour, minute and second hands (all blued) and a date indicator. The latter is magnified by a lens built into the gently curved and glareproofed, scratch-resistant sapphire crystal.
The watch's case is 37mm wide (excluding the winding crown) by 35mm long excluding the bracelet-attachment lugs (or approx 44mm long including those lugs).
The watch is water resistant to a static depth of 100m or 330 ft (as stamped on the back of the case).
The gold bracelet is closed with a cleverly concealed, double-folding (deployant) clasp, which lends the bracelet a nice, continuous aesthetic.
Our Price and Guarantee
Our price for this gorgeous and impressive Cartier watch is £11,250 fully inclusive.
But if you already own a Swiss watch, we may of course also consider your watch in part exchange so that your outlay is less. (Please bring your watch in, complete with box and papers if you have them, plus some photo ID, when you come to look at this watch if there's any chance you might like to do a trade / part-ex deal.)
Furthermore, we now offer 12 months of interest-free finance for upto 90% of the amount payable subject to acceptance. That is, a minimum deposit of 10% of the amount payable would be required. (This would be arranged in the shop.)
If and when you acquire this watch from us, we will also guarantee it for a full 12 months from the date of your purchase to give you peace of mind. And we're not going anywhere either: that guarantee is underpinned by having our own on-site jewellery and watch-repair workshop with technicians who have many years of experience between them.
Such after-sales support is an important consideration when choosing with whom you are willing to deal when buying a luxury watch. A 'bricks-and-mortar' outlet that you can easily pop into on almost any day of the week (we're closed on Sundays), and especially one like Swiss Watch Shop that is so well established, well known and well respected within Manchester's jewellery quarter (based in and around St Ann's Square), provides the reassurance that, in the unlikely event that something should go wrong with a watch that you buy from us, we're here primed to resolve matters. We want you to be entirely happy with your purchase so that not only do you come back to us again (and again), but you are also willing to recommend us to your friends. Our ability to provide technical support is just one of the reasons so many of our customers do keep coming back to us when they decide to upgrade and/or trade in their watch.
To find out more
If you'd like to know more about this item, or indeed about any of our other pre-owned watches from the prestigious, recognised and celebrated Swiss brands in which we deal, please don't hesitate to call us on 0161 831 9649 (normal business hours, Mon-Sat inclusive). Alternatively, why not send us a message now**?
The accompanying photos *are* of the actual item that we have for sale. Despite that, we would of course always suggest you call into our shop if you can: we think it'd even be worth a special trip into Manchester!
After all, there really is no better way to check out a watch that you might be interested in owning than to come and take a closer look at it. Inspect it, handle it, try it on for size and ask us about it! Of course, while you're here, you can browse our large collection of other superlative-condition famous Swiss brand watches. In any case, not only would you be very welcome, but you'll also be in the heart of Manchester's shopping district (we're located near M&S, just off St Ann's Square) and there are plenty of places nearby to enjoy a coffee too, so why not plan a visit soon?
Here, you're typically able to browse around one hundred and fifty pre-owned Swiss watches that we have out on display, each of which has been carefully selected, based on its condition, from among the many more watches that we see and handle every day. (To a large extent, that's in effect what we do: we 'filter' pre-owned watches. Only the very best of what we buy in or receive in part exchange deals make it onto our display shelves and onto this website, and this particular Cartier is a great example of our selectivity. The rest are sold on: for example, to smaller dealers in the trade.)
The result is that we probably have **THE BEST COLLECTION IN THE UK'S NORTH WEST** of pre-owned Swiss watches in terms of their condition! Why not take advantage of that fact, because it can make it much easier for you to find your next (or perhaps your first) watch that's in the sort of condition that you would prefer, a watch that will give you satisfaction for many months and years to come.
**When enquiring about this particular watch, please quote its unique stock/item number, which is WSN 691, so we can more easily identify and locate the watch and its details for you. Thank you!
