This is a very desirable and highly sought-after Rolex model, the Rolex YACHT-MASTER 40 with model reference number 116655. This one was new in May 2018, comes with its box and papers (guarantee card), and is in mint (virtually like new) condition.

This watch came with a 5-year international warranty from Rolex, and therefore remains under that reassuring warranty until May 2023.

The striking dial of this stunning showpiece features a bezel-matching black background for the highly-legible 'Chromalight' display with long-lasting blue luminescence. To prevent tarnishing, the hands and hour markers are all fashioned from 18 ct rose gold.

Of course, being an 'Oyster Perpetual' model, that dial is protected under a rock-hard sapphire crystal that helps to seal the tank-like case against dust and water ingress. The Oyster case features a screw-down case back and a screw-down winding crown, the latter of which features a 'Triplock' triple-waterproofness system. Such features taken together easily achieve a water resistance to a static depth of at least 100m (330 ft).

Inside that robust Everose gold casing is Rolex's in-house calibre 3135, an automatic ('Perpetual') mechanical movement. It goes without saying that the 3135 is an independently and officially certified Swiss chronometer, whose architecture—as Rolex put it—"makes it singularly reliable". However, Rolex exceeds the requirements of the testing and certifying body C.O.S.C., by ensuring that each movement that goes into this model is precise to within just -2/+2 seconds per day after casing!

This model features an unapologetically bold, rotatable, 60-minute graduated bezel made of gold and inset with an ultra-hard piece of ceramic known as 'Cerachrom'. The dent and scratch resistance of ceramic helps to keep such a watch looking virtually like new for many, many years.

The bezel's raised polished numerals and graduations that stand out clearly against that matt, finely grit-blasted background is the signature hallmark of the Yacht-Master family of watches.

Proving to be very popular, and proving that Rolex know how to get things "just right", is the Yacht-Master's new and innovative, black 'Oysterflex' rubber bracelet/strap, which offers a rare and sporty alternative to the usual metal bracelets. This bracelet attaches to the watch case and to the 18 ct Everose gold Oysterlock safety clasp by means of a flexible titanium and nickel alloy metal blade. This blade is overmoulded with a high-performance, black elastomer which is especially resistant to harsh environmental effects, and yet is very durable and designed to be comfortable for you, the watch's wearer. On the subject of comfort, the inside of the Oysterflex bracelet integrates four innovative, longitudinal, sprung-rubber cushioning 'blades' that stabilize the watch on the wrist.

Our Price

For reference, Rolex's list (suggested retail) price inclusive of V.A.T. for this stunning-looking, reputation-enhancing watch model back in Dec 2018 was £19,200, and the slightly updated version of this watch (with model number 126655) has a list price of £20,200 as of Oct 2019. In comparison, our price for this mint-condition example is now £POA
Of course, your cash outlay could be significantly less than our stated price, because we may also consider your existing Swiss watch(es) in part exchange. (If you'd like to do a part-exchange deal, please bring in your existing watch(es)—complete with box and papers if you still have them—when you call into our shop.)

To find out more

If you'd like to know more about this head-turning YACHT-MASTER 40, or indeed about any of our other pre-owned watches from the prestigious, recognised and celebrated Swiss brands in which we deal, please don't hesitate to call us (on 0161 831 9649 during normal business hours, Mon-Sat inclusive). Alternatively, send us a message now!

And if you're seriously interested, we'd always suggest you call into our shop if you can, the sooner the better (this model doesn't become available often): there really is no better way to check out a watch that you might be interested in owning than to come and take a closer look at it. Inspect it, handle it, try it on for size and ask us about it! Of course, while you're here, you might also wish to browse our large collection of other watches. In any case, you'd be very welcome, so why not call in soon?

We're located just off St Ann's Square, in the heart of Manchester's city-centre shopping district. Here, you're typically able to browse around a hundred and fifty pre-owned Swiss watches that we have out on display, each of which has been carefully selected, based on its condition, from among the many more watches that we see and handle every day. (That's in effect what we do: we 'filter' pre-owned watches. Only the very best of what we buy in or receive in part exchange deals make it onto our display shelves and onto this website. The rest are sold on to smaller dealers in the trade.)

With that many prime-condition, pre-owned Swiss watches to choose from, it's likely that we offer you the best chance in the region (and far beyond) of being able to find your next—or indeed your first—watch of the sort of calibre and in the sort of condition that you deserve; a watch that leaves you feeling fully satisfied that you've chosen just the right one.

When enquiring about this particular watch, please quote its unique stock/item number, which is WSN 1431, so we can more easily identify and locate the watch and its details for you. Thank you.
