Item no.: WSN 1429
In the 5 years I've been photographing and listing Rolex watches (in their thousands), I've come up with a very simple rule of thumb: if it's a Rolex 'Professional' model with an eye-catching touch of colour (ideally in the bezel), it's probably a highly coveted, sought-after and/or collectible watch that has performed well in recent years as a store of value / investment. If it's a model with a well-known, unofficial nickname, e.g., "Kermit", "Batman", "Pepsi", "Root Beer", "Hulk", "Fat Lady", etc., etc., then so much the better!
This "Coke" or "Coke bezel" watch that we have available is the Rolex GMT-Master II with model reference number 16710, which is the last model made available by Rolex with the Coke bezel colours.
And if you're at all interested in this watch, then I'd guess that you already know all about this model, so here's the crucial bit: this item was new in June 1999, comes with its box and papers, and, especially considering its 20 years, is in superb condition. That's not to say it's absolutely perfect*, but it's probably the best Coke-Bezel GMT I've photographed so far. That's because it appears, judging by the brush-finish on the front of the case (the lugs) and by the sharp/clean edges, as though it's never been polished/refurbed. It has some *very* light/superficial marks/scratches on its bracelet (I personally need a magnifier to see them), and the bezel, crystal and dial are almost perfect and clean.
So THIS WATCH IS IN COLLECTOR'S CONDITION! We could have polished the bracelet so that the watch looks virtually perfect / mint, but we would probably advise that this watch be left untouched / unpolished to help to protect its value. This condition in such a sought-after model as this one is rare, so if you've had your mind set on one of these to add to your collection, DO NOT HESITATE: get to our shop fast!

The accompanying photos are of the actual item that we have for sale. Despite that, we would of course always suggest you call into our shop if you can: we think it'd even be worth a special trip into Manchester!
After all, there really is no better way to check out a watch that you might be interested in owning than to come and take a closer look at it. Inspect it, handle it, try it on for size and ask us about it! Of course, while you're here, you can browse our large collection of other superlative-condition famous Swiss brand watches. In any case, not only would you be very welcome, but you'll also be in the heart of Manchester's shopping district (we're located just off St Ann's Square) and there are plenty of places nearby to enjoy a coffee too, so why not plan a visit soon?
Here, you're typically able to browse around one hundred and fifty pre-owned Swiss watches that we have out on display, each of which has been carefully selected, based on its condition, from among the many more watches that we see and handle every day. (To a large extent, that's in effect what we do: we 'filter' pre-owned watches. Only the very best of what we buy in or receive in part exchange deals make it onto our display shelves and onto this website, and this particular Coke-bezel Rolex is the perfect example of our efforts in that regard. Watches we acquire that don't pass muster are sold on, for example to smaller dealers in the trade.)
The result is that we probably have **the best** collection of pre-owned Swiss watches in such prime-condition in the region! You can take advantage of that fact to make it much easier for you to find your next (or perhaps your first) watch that's in the sort of condition that you really want, a watch that delights you, because we've done much of the work for you!
