Item no.: WSN 1474
This is a stunning-looking, desirable and highly sought-after Rolex model: it's a (37mm) Rolex 'YACHT-MASTER 37' with model reference number 268655. This item was new only in Dec 2017, comes with its box and papers, and is in mint (and never-been-polished) condition.
This 'green-seal' Rolex watch came with a 5-year international guarantee from Rolex, so it's very reassuring that, at the time of listing (Dec 2019), approximately 3 years of that guarantee still remain.
The striking dial of this stunning showpiece features a bezel-matching black background for the highly-legible 'Chromalight' display with long-lasting blue luminescence. To prevent tarnishing, and to match the case and the strap's clasp, the hands and hour markers are all fashioned from 18 ct rose gold.
Of course, being an 'Oyster Perpetual' model, that dial is protected under a rock-hard sapphire crystal that helps to seal the tank-like case against dust and water ingress. The Oyster case features a screw-down case back and a screw-down winding crown, the latter of which features a 'Triplock' triple-waterproofness system. Such features taken together easily achieve a water resistance to a static depth of at least 100m (330 ft).
Inside that robust Everose gold casing is Rolex's in-house calibre 2236, an automatic ('Perpetual') mechanical movement. It goes without saying that the 2236 movement is an independently and officially-certified Swiss chronometer, one whose design and quality of manufacture (in the words of Rolex) "ensure peerless precision and reliability".
That Black Ceramic Bezel...
This model features an unapologetically bold, rotatable, 60-minute graduated bezel made of gold and inset with an ultra-hard piece of ceramic known as 'Cerachrom'. The dent and scratch resistance of ceramic helps to keep such a watch looking virtually like new for many, many years.
The bezel's raised polished numerals and graduations that stand out clearly against that matt, finely grit-blasted background is the signature, nautical hallmark of the Yacht-Master family of watches.
Proving to be very popular, and proving that Rolex know how to get things "just right", is the Yacht-Master's innovative, black 'Oysterflex' rubber bracelet/strap, which offers a rare and sporty alternative to the usual metal bracelets. This bracelet attaches to the watch case and to the 18 ct Everose gold Oysterlock safety clasp by means of a flexible titanium and nickel alloy metal blade. This blade is overmoulded with a high-performance, black elastomer which is especially resistant to harsh environmental effects, and yet is very durable and designed to be comfortable for you, the watch's wearer. On the subject of comfort, the inside of the Oysterflex bracelet integrates four innovative, longitudinal, sprung-rubber cushioning 'blades' that stabilize the watch on the wrist.
For reference, Rolex's list (suggested retail) price inclusive of V.A.T. for this stunning-looking, image-enhancing watch model (checked on 23rd Dec 2019) is £17,300.
In comparison, our price for this mint-condition example is now £15,900 fully inclusive.
That represents a saving of £1,400 (or approx., 8%) compared to list.
Of course, your cash outlay could be significantly less than our stated price, because we may also consider your existing Swiss watch(es) in part exchange. (If you'd like to do a part-exchange deal, please bring in your existing watch(es), complete with box and papers if you still have them, together with some photo ID when you call into our shop.)
We can also offer 12 months of interest-free credit on upto 90% of the amount payable, subject to acceptance. (Finance is arranged on the premises.)
