Summary

You know how when you see a classic/vintage car in pristine condition, the condition is somehow always immediately obvious, right? It just shows through immediately, right? Well that's how it was with this watch when I saw it for the first time: its condition is immediately obvious, and is particularly excellent for its age.

This is a "mid-size" (31mm) ladies' Rolex DATEJUST with model reference number 68273. It comes with its box and papers. The guarantee certificate was stamped by the official (Portuguese) retailer, but not dated. However, the watch's S27xxxx serial number dates its manufacture to approximately 1993.

When you inspect this watch under a loupe (magnifier), the dial looks just superb: the finely brush-finished champagne coloured dial is perfect, and despite its age, there isn't any sign of tarnishing on the hands etc.

The dial is the original Rolex "diamond-dot" one, featuring ten superbly-cut diamonds for the hour markers. (Two hour positions are taken up by the date indicator and by the gold Rolex Crown logo.) When you compare the diamonds in a Rolex diamond-dot dial to those set in after-market dials or the dials of other well-known watch brands, there really is a difference: Rolex have somehow found a way to make their diamonds really sparkle more sharply.

The middle link pieces of the 'Jubilee' bracelet to which this watch is mounted, the fluted bezel around the dial and the winding crown of this watch are made from 18-carat yellow gold, which—in combination with the accompanying grey stainless steel—always looks fantastic. This 'trademark-Rolex' bi-metal look remains highly sought-after even today, and will undoubtedly continue to look tastefully classy for many years to come.

Our Price

Our price for this excellent-condition ladies' Rolex DATEJUST is £5,500 fully inclusive.

Note however that your cash outlay could be significantly less than this, because we may also consider your old watch in part exchange. (If there's any possibility you might like to do a part-exchange deal when you visit us, please bring your watch in with its box and papers if you still have them!)

We can now also offer 12 months of interest-free credit: please contact the shop for details.

Our Guarantee

For your peace of mind, we will guarantee this watch for a full 12 months from the date of your purchase. That guarantee is underpinned by the fact that we have a well-equipped watch-repair and jewellery workshop on-site staffed by highly experienced technicians who take great pride in the intricate work that they do on high-end Swiss watches.

Alternatively, why not send us a message now**?

The accompanying photos are of the actual item that we have for sale. Despite that, we would of course always suggest you call into our shop if you can: we think it'd even be worth a special trip into Manchester!

After all, there really is no better way to check out a watch that you might be interested in owning than to come and take a closer look at it. Inspect it, handle it, try it on for size and ask us about it! Of course, while you're here, you might also wish to browse our large collection of other watches. In any case, not only would you be very welcome, but you'll also be in the heart of Manchester's shopping district (we're located just off St Ann's Square) and there are plenty of places nearby to enjoy a coffee too, so why not plan a visit soon?

Here, you're typically able to browse around one hundred and fifty pre-owned Swiss watches that we have out on display, each of which has been carefully selected, based on its condition, from among the many more watches that we see and handle every day. (To a large extent, that's in effect what we do: we 'filter' pre-owned watches. Only the very best of what we buy in or receive in part exchange deals make it onto our display shelves and onto this website, and this particular watch is a fantastic example of that. The rest are sold on, for example to smaller dealers in the trade.)

With that many prime-condition, pre-owned Swiss watches to choose from, we probably offer you the best chance in the region of being able to find your next, or indeed your first, watch of the sort of calibre and in the sort of condition that you surely deserve; one of those purchases that leaves you feeling completely satisfied that you've chosen just right.

**When enquiring about this particular watch, please quote its unique stock/item number, which is WSN 1261, so we can more easily identify and locate the watch and its details for you. Thank you.
